Every action or non-action a driver takes is based on what they see or notice on the roadway. For example, a driver needs to identify hazards such as debris in the road. But they also need to be aware of routine items like speed limit signs. If a routine item is missed, a hazardous situation might occur. We call both the hazards and routine things the driver needs to be aware of as Critical Items.
Drive Focus is designed for any driver at any level. Learner and new drivers find Drive Focus an essential tool to develop awareness of the driving environment. Experienced drivers find Drive Focus helps them sharpen their attention and develop faster responses.

Select the Critical Items for the AUS or US
Click on the icon of each of the 11 critical items to learn why and when those items are important to notice.
There are a lot of Tours to select from within Australia, Canada, and the United States. And we keep adding more.
Each Tour has 6-7 Drives. Download a Drive and click on the 11 critical items in order of priority. Each Drive in a Tour gets progressively more challenging. When you get a score of 500 or higher the next Drive will open.
Play the Drives at different speeds. 100% is the speed that the Drive was taken when filmed. But you can also reduce the speed to 80% or 60%.
In the settings you can add the critical item marking to know when the next item is about to appear.
Your score will be reduced if you use the reduce speed and the critical item marking. But it can help to practice with these features.
Whether you get a score below or above 500, review the score details to see what critical items you missed. The score details description will tell you the exact item you missed. You will be able to click a link to play back a 3 second clip where the item occurred.
A score of 650-799 or more is a GOOD score. A score of 800 or higher is AMAZING!
We highly recommend shooting for AMAZING. We know you have it in you!!

Drive Focus is not compatible with any phones because the screen size is too small.
Drive Focus is compatible with these devices: iPads, Android tablets, Amazon Fire Tablets, MacBooks with M1 chips, Chromebooks, Windows 11, and Apple Vision Pro. If you don’t have access to one of these devices and cost is a consideration, we recommend Amazon Fire Tablets, Android tablets, and Google Chromebooks.
In addition to the volume control on your tablet, there are two other things that affect the sound.
1. When taking a Drive, you can adjust roadway and background sound volume using the slider bar.
2. You can also turn on and off the roadway sounds and the acknowledgement chimes and beeps in the Drive Focus app settings
Use the biggest screen you can. Here’s why:
When you use Drive Focus, you are looking at the road from the perspective of a driver. If you are using a small screen, it will be difficult to pick out things that are far away from the driver, like an upcoming traffic light or sign.
We do not recommend screens smaller than 10 inches or 25.4cm.
