General

I did not receive an email verification. What do I do?

If you have not received the email verification in your inbox after 3 minutes, check your spam or junk folder.

In your Spam or Junk Folder, look for a message with a subject line that says No-Reply.
When you find it indicate that it is not spam or junk. That will move the message into your in-box and allow you to Verify your account or enable your Forgot Password request.

Can I use Drive Focus on a phone?

Drive Focus is not compatible with any phones because the screen size is too small.

Drive Focus is compatible with these devices: iPads, Android tablets, Amazon Fire Tablets, MacBooks with M1 chips, Chromebooks, Windows 11, and Apple Vision Pro. If you don’t have access to one of these devices and cost is a consideration, we recommend Amazon Fire Tablets, Android tablets, and Google Chromebooks.

Sometimes I don’t hear the roadway sounds and sometimes I don’t hear the Drive Focus app sounds.

In addition to the volume control on your tablet, there are two other things that affect the sound.

1. When taking a Drive, you can adjust roadway and background sound volume using the slider bar.

2. You can also turn on and off the roadway sounds and the acknowledgement chimes and beeps in the Drive Focus app settings

I want to buy a device for Drive Focus, what size screen should I use for Drive Focus?”

Use the biggest screen you can. Here’s why:

When you use Drive Focus, you are looking at the road from the perspective of a driver. If you are using a small screen, it will be difficult to pick out things that are far away from the driver, like an upcoming traffic light or sign.

We do not recommend screens smaller than 10 inches or 25.4cm.

Android Tablets and Chromebook

What Android devices are compatible with Drive Focus?

Drive Focus currently runs on more than 5000 Android and Chromebook devices. The easiest way to see if your device is compatible is to follow these steps:

Use the Android or Chromebook device that you want to download Drive Focus to and open the Google Play Store.
In the Google Play Store, search for “Drive Focus”. If Drive Focus appears, your device is compatible. If Drive Focus does not appear, Drive Focus is not compatible with your device.

Generally, Drive Focus will work if your Android device is updated to Android 11 or newer.

Please remember, even though a device will work, you may not be able to see critical items if the screen is too small. In general, we recommend a screen size that is 10 inches (25.4 cm) or larger.

The download is spinning, how do I fix it?

There are typically three reasons that the wheel spins instead of downloading the drive and that is internet speed, storage and memory.

1. Internet speed is too slow. This can happen even if you have fast internet if there are multiple devices using WiFi simultaneously. A way to test your WiFi speed is to open up Speedtest.net  on your Android device. You need at least 3Mbps for download speed.

2. Please clean the Android memory by going through these steps on your Android tablet:

Go to Settings > Device Care > Memory > Select an option to “clean now”
This will close any apps that are open and potentially using memory.

3. Next, check your Storage
Go to Settings > Device Care > Storage

Drive Focus requires 5.14GB of storage to operate. If you don’t have that much storage you can clear out unused apps. Videos and pictures tend to take up a lot of storage.

What Apple Devices are compatible with Drive Focus?

Drive Focus will work on:

iPads running iOS 16.1 or newer version.
Mac Laptops with an M1 Chip and running macOS 14 or newer versions.
Vision Pro headset running vision OS 1.1 or newer.

Can I use Drive Focus if I have an external keyboard on my iPad?

Many of our users report that the external keyboards on their iPads are incompatible with Drive Focus. If Drive Focus has problems registering your screen taps, disconnect the keyboard.

The Drive Focus Videos don’t download?

If you are having difficulty downloading the drives it is typically for one of two reasons.

1. Internet speed is too slow. This can happen even if you have fast internet if there are multiple devices using WiFi simultaneously. A way to test your WiFi speed is Speedtest.net  You need at least 3Mbps for download speed.

2. The storage available on the iPad is too small to download the drives. For the best results, we recommend 1 GB of storage. Not sure if you have enough storage, follow these steps:

Tap on the Settings icon
Select General / Storage & Cloud

Why does it say “sale is pending” in the AppStore?

If your transaction at the Apple AppStore is “pending”, it means that the Fee has not been charged to your account. Apple support says the transaction can take 1-3 days. Steps you can take:

Delays in transactions can be caused by an outdated card or bank account at the Apple AppStore.
If the issue persists for more than 4 days, Apple recommends that you contact their support team.

Microsoft Windows

I can't download Drive Focus to Windows 11.

As of April 1, 2024, Amazon has stopped supporting Android apps for Windows 11. We are actively working on finding a solution.

I downloaded Drive Focus to Windows 11 how long can I use it?

If you download Drive Focus to Windows 11 prior to April 1, 2024 you will be able to use the Drive Focus until March 2025.

What generation of Fire Tablets are compatible with Drive Focus

8th Generation and Newer

I have an Amazon Fire Tablet and Drives don’t download. How do I fix this?

Amazon recommends trying three different solutions and testing the app after each or until one solves the download issue.

Potential solutions:

1. Restart Your Fire Tablet

Press and hold the power button for up to three seconds until you see a shutdown request message.
Select OK and your device turns off.
Press the power button for two to three seconds to turn it back on.

2. Clear App Cache and Data on Your Fire Tablet

Open the Settings menu.
Select Apps & Notifications.
Select Manage All Applications or See all… apps and choose Drive Focus
Select Storage > tap to Clear Data or Clear Storage > Clear Cache.

3. Uninstall and reinstall Drive Focus

For professionals

Is there a multiple user option?

You can create an unlimited number of users with the low price of a single Drive Focus app. Things to keep in mind:

You will need to purchase a Drive Focus app for each device you plan to use it on.
Each client will “Sign-Up” with their email and password. They should have a Smartphone handy for the verification step.
After the client has used the Drive Focus app, they must log out (found in the settings) before the next client signs-in or signs-up.

Should my clients/ students use Drive Focus at home?

Drive Focus has the most benefit if used at home.

The research indicates that 6 hours of practice with Drive Focus is when significant improvements begin. Typically, clients/ students cannot get that much time on Drive Focus if they are only using it in a facility setting (e.g. classroom, hospital or clinic).
Clients/ students would purchase and download Drive Focus onto their home device.
Because Drive Focus is Cloud-based they will be able to sign-in with the same username and password on any device with Drive Focus. This means that they can resume where they left off on the Drive Focus app despite changing devices.

Even if you are not using Android devices, all of our devices now work like the Android version so disregard the title.
